Ein literarisches Nachtbild mit mehr als 300 Fotos von suggestiver Kraft: Nie zeigte Bangkok mehr Farben als in »Bangkok Noir«.
Etwa drei Monate lang lebte Roger Willemsen in Bangkok, verließ seine Bleibe allabendlich um 18 Uhr und kehrte im Morgengrauen zurück. In den Nächten durchstreifte er mit dem in Bangkok wohnenden Fotografen Ralf Tooten die Stadt: die Nachtclubs, Karaoke-Bars und Massage-Salons, die Kickbox-Studios, Nachtmärkte, Tempel und Baustellen. Er besuchte Wahrsager, Tätowierer und Aura-Fotografen, den Amulett-Markt, den Jahrmarkt der Gastarbeiter, das Straßenkino. Er aß bei den Insektenverkäufern, fand die geheimen Schlafplätze der Elefanten und kampierte unter den Demonstranten gegen die Regierung. Er fand Zugang zu Nobel-Clubs, aber ebenso zu den Glücksspielern aus den Armen-Wohnblocks. Entstanden ist ein großes Nocturno, komponiert aus lauter literarischen Nachtbildern und mehr als 300 Fotos von Ralf Tooten.

Im Wettstreit mit den Mitspielern lockt der günstigste Zimmerpreis frisch angekommene Touristen in die Zimmer. Durch den Bau von Suiten oder eines Pooles erhöht sich die Attraktivität des eigenen Hauses. Wer schließlich am Ende das meiste Geld erwirtschaften konnte, gewinnt. Die Spieler mit dem höchsten Gebot können ihr Hotel umbauen, um es attraktiver zu machen. Aber die Spieler mit dem niedrigsten Gebot erhalten zuerst die ersehnten Touristen zugewiesen. Hotel Gigant 2 (PC)Je schicker das Hotel eingerichtet ist, umso glücklicher werden die Bewohner sein. Der Spieler wacht über hunderte von Charakteren um ihre Wünsche herauszufinden und das Hotel ihrer Träume zu erschaffen, während er seine Angestellten managt und das Hotelbudget verwaltet. Aufgrund der einfachen Steuerung errichtet der Spieler wie von selbst noble Fünf-Sterne-Restaurants nach seinen Vorstellungen. Von der Speisekarte bis zu den Uniformen der Kellner bestimmt er jedes Detail.
