Ibiza, a Mediterranean island located off the coast of Spain, enjoys an international reputation as the party capital of Europe. Nightlife
The nightlife circuit in Ibiza focuses around the island’s two towns: Ibiza Town, the capital located on the souther coast of the island, and San Antonio, located on the west coast. Holidaymakers who want to be close to the heart of the club scene might want to choose Ibiza hotels or resorts located near these areas, but the ample nightlife offerings virtually guarantee there will be a club or disco near your hotel regardless of where you choose to stay. Musical selections at the clubs are varied, with tunes ranging from rap and hip-hop to techno and rhythm and blues. Well-known clubs include Privilege, which describes itself as the “world’s biggest nightclub”, Space, Pacha, Underground, DC10, Es Paradís and Amnesia. Many clubs stay open until 6, 7 or even 8 a.m., which allows many holidaymakers to enjoy pre-parties that start after sunset, late night clubbing and “disco sunrises”.
Beaches
One of the perks of holidaying in Ibiza is that you are never far away from one of the island’s 80 beaches. Ibiza Town itself has seven different beach areas, including the longest beach on the island, Playa d’en Bossa. Playa d’en Bossa offers numerous cafes and bars, including the Bora Bora Bar where several bars play club music virtually around the clock. If you’re looking for a more serene atmoshphere but still want to enjoy a great selection of bars and restaurants, head to Cala Jondal. Regardless of the beach scene you choose, you can almost certainly find Ibiza hotels nearby that fit your budget and interests.
