The problem with hollywood is that the directors have to go thru too many red tape in order to bring out the movie.Look at jackie chan when he came to the states to make movies.Hollywood had people that did their own stunts back in black and white era.Now it just plain sucks.

So long as guys like Roland Emmerich and Micheal Bay are still directing movies are we still gonna see terrible half written action flicks.

90% of the movies I see can be considered hollywood movies. There is simply a consistent “dropping of the ball” when it comes to bringing original ideas from a place/film such as this to the hollywood screen.

I think you’re biased to the point or retardation. Hollywood is the absolute worse? Well I guess Taxi Driver, The Aviator, Gangs of New York and the Departed are the “absolute worse” It’s so hip to hate Hollywood isn’t it? Alot of shitty movies are made these days but I hope you are at least intelligent enough to learn to associate them with DIRECTORS instead of a town. So keep being the rebel you are and dissing a place that has churned out some of the best films of all time.

unless you’re a die hard fan of one of the actors in the remake… DON’T GO!! i only went to see Chakrit on the big screen, and it was worth it cuz he’s in almost every scene and he’s hot. seeing the movie w/o chakrit? you couldn’t pay me to watch the remake w/o him.
I’m scared for the remake…I don’t now if I can even keep myself from seeing it though

yeah i think the remake will be dumb as hell, in the remake Nick Cage is: An american mercinary, not deaf or mute, has to assassinate a political official, and says stupid one liners. over all it’s going to be so dumb and different from the original that the only way it would make sense would be if they said it was a sequel. I know the original directers directed the new one, but it’s a really dumb sense they practically rewrote the movie
for the remake, they take the KEY plot point, a deaf mute hitman, and make him just a regular guy, making the movie just a regular run of the mill awful hitman movie. Hollywood is just the absolute WORST.
