Though a small town Florence boasts of a great historical background and it is one of the most attractive tourist spots in the entire Italy.

The inner area of the Florence Cathedral measures 155×90 meters and so it looks great. One has to pay a fee of 6 Euros to have a bird’s eye view of the city of Florence by climbing the 414 steps of the bell tower.

Artistic highlights of a visit to Florence Cathedral consists of the stained glass windows made by Donatello as well as the frescoes adorning the internal walls of the Cathedral.

In the main square of the old city of Florence is located the Neptune’s Fountain. Aside from revelling in the architectural charm of the fountain one can relax a bit at the Signoria Square between visits.
