A Barbados vacation on this beautiful Caribbean isle comes highly recommended, and there is plenty for the tourist to see and do.

Lying in the Caribbean Sea just north of Venezuela, this stunning island, which is known to the locals as Bajan, offers tourists the ideal mix of the watersports expected from a seaside paradise and fascinating cultural attractions. The island is divided into five separate regions, and, as each of them sport their own world class attractions and activities, tourists should make the most of their getaway and visit region in turn.

Money in Barbados is known as the Barbadian Dollar and worth about 1/2 that of the US Dollar. This currency is widelly used and accepted on the island. Bridgetown is the island’s capital and is a haven for duty-free shopping, and this stately and beautiful colonial city accommodates many cruise ships every week. While in Bridgetown, tourists must make sure to see the venerable Nidhe Israel Synagogue, which is among the oldest synagogues in the western hemisphere, the Parliament and the Garrison Historic Area, highlights of which include the George Washington House and the Garrison Savannah Parade Grounds.

You Can Drive but Not Walk Through This Volcano!

Christmas seemed to be a good time to book a holiday for the family, and take them all to St Lucia for a week. St Lucia was so great last year, that i have just now booked another one, so hopefully we will have just as much fun as we did last year. If i hadn’t had so much to do when i came back from my holiday, i would have written about this sooner. So seeing as I am booking a holiday back to St Lucia, and i have some free time, I thought I would explain my last holiday there to you.

We landed at an airport called the Hewanorra airport, a very modern and classy airport. We were staying at the Le Sport hotel and the rooms were gorgeous. St Lucia has a lovely forest that covers most of the island, and we went on two safaris through the jungle, other than that we spent a lot of our time at the beach.
