Birmingham is a city in the county of England known as the West Midlands  and the city’s residents are called “Brummies”. You will find the most popular in one of Birmingham’s squares, Victoria Square, Chamberlain Square, Centenary Square, Rotunda Square, St Martin’s Square, the historic Old Square at Corporation Street and the Gas Street Basin. Gas Street Basin is the central hub of Birmingham’s intricate canal network. The city has about thirty two miles of canals with between eight canals which were constructed in the 18th century and continued being used by local industries nearly until the end of the twentieth century. Nowadays the area has been cleaned up and is now a rather good visitor attraction.
