The thought of the difficulties in traveling while disabled can keep people from taking a vacation. However, travel aids for disabled people do exist, though you may have to do some investigation to find them.
Airlines, for example, will normally offer services to help disabled passengers. However, it is the responsibility of the passenger to confirm what those services include. The traveler must also be sure to notify the airline ahead of time that they will be on board. Be very clear about exactly what your disability is, this is not the time to downplay your needs.
