Aaah the wonderful 80sness! Love it!
That’s cool. I’ll just rest my eyes here, just for a sec.30 years from now I’ll think this is The Golden Age.How sad.
Does anyone here like Burger King. I’m really hungry!
I prefer the remix by Global Dj’s LOL
Thank you for the memories.
“One Night in Bangkok” is a song originally released in 1984 by Murray Head. The original version was one of the main tracks in the 1984 concept album for the musical Chess.
The song is actually from a musical named Chess, and the musical is about a love triangle between two chess players and a woman they both love. And the musical was actually written by the men from ABBA.
One of My favorite 80s songs
catchy song though isnt it?
I love this song!!
it’s a song literally about chess, in Bangkok.
im glad this shit doesnt exist anymore
Doesn’t look like a Noh mask to me. More like Chinese… I would imagine Thai masks would have more in common with the scupltured masks of Java and Malaysia. But it’s been about 15 or 20 years since I was in Asia or thinking about such things…
what u mean? what this song mean too
always liked this song for some strmge reason, wouldnt call this disco exactly
crazy shit, how come i dont see more of this on the internets
Hm, the moment in the clip when they play the game of chess… Is it intended this way? I mean, she moves 3…Nc6 and then he looks kind of scared (clear, 4.Qf7 checkmate). Is this “scare look” related to the game or just a random flash in the clip, as well as the “game” itself?
What does her face mean at 2:50
people whonder about mona lisa’s smile but what is this?
It’s not a play, it’s a musical…
I was only 2 when this came out *chuckles* but I’ve grown to love the song AND the musical it came from (all the music from Chess is awesome!)
It’s had a revival, a few times… we did it at uni a couple years back even… the musical is a bit tricky unless you listen to the lyrics… the emotions and inner turmoils are told through the songs… it is beautiful though.
And worse if you lack a sense of rhythm…
hmm i have heard a VERY different version of this song
